About Us

Our aim is to increase the visibility and the community feel of women’s rugby. We are women supporting and empowering other women. We want to help increase the visibility for any women involved in rugby, from the players, to the supporters, their family, referees, and coaches.

We use as colour t-shirts. They are an ethically A- rated New Zealand brand. We have continued to support local by having our t-shirts printed by Brazen in Wellington, New Zealand. All garments are ordered on a made to order basis in an effort to reduce unnecessary excess waste.

Our Women of Rugby t-shirt is inspired by the strong contribution to rugby by women and the support base for rugby by women; but has been made in response to the lack of community visibility.

We believe that the contribution to rugby by women needs to be more widely recognised and is an important message that needs to be spread.

Our supporters wear their t-shirts with purpose and pride - to increase equality in sports, and the visibility of the Women of Rugby from the players, to the referees, coaches, supporters and the countless others needed in this sport across the World. This t-shirt doesn’t just recognise the women involved in the womens game but also the women of rugby involved in and supporting the mens game too.

A portion of our profits will go back to grassroots rugby - we want to see the womens game continue to grow and to help support this by contributing at a grassroots level. We hope to help to inspire the next generation of women to join the movement and to be in a New Zealand, and World, that passionately and visibly supports them as women of rugby. We hope to see full stadiums of supporters watching our women playing the game our country loves.

We hope to decrease our environmental impact by having our t-shirts made to order as well as supporting local business and using a socially responsible company as our t-shirt supplier.

We know that studies have shown physical activity can prevent or reduce mental health problems, mainly depression and anxiety. We also know that some of our girls do not have the ideal family situation. Supporting the next generation of women in to rugby and through their careers may help to improve their mental health and provide opportunities for safe environments for social and emotional interactions.
